In 2006, a blogger posted this
So, here is what I’m thinking, is there any chance we could get a 2010 update.

So, ladies, this post isn’t just for me…it’s for all of us.

It’s so important to find the right salon. I understand if people don’t want to name names of bad salons etc, that’s not what I’m asking for.
I want to know, in your opinion, the best salons…there will be a chance to share your views on bad experiences at a later date! I promise!

It’s available from iTunes here

Where will you be Spring/Summer 2011?

17 Nov

Well, I hope I’ll be somewhere watching The Royal Wedding.

That’s right. Prince William is FINALLY going to make an honest woman out of Kate, or Katherine as he made the announcement to the world, yesterday.

So, here’s my question. Is the lady going to do a flip reversal and start dressing and acting like a ‘royal’?

Here’s Kate in 2008- note: this was for a charity, roller-blade party!

Here’s Kate Wearing a neat skirt suit, she was joined by Prince Harry and Camilla Parker-Bowles at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, when William received the Knight of the Garter – becoming a Royal Knight Companion and the 1,000th Knight in the order.

Will she remember to take the labels off the shoes when she gets married? I do hope so.

I wish them all the best. I think they make a lovely couples and she seems ‘normal’.

A Tiny Bit Marvellous

12 Nov

So, I’ve just started reading this

so far, it is absolutely hilarious..

Here’s the review from amazon

Everyone hates the perfect family. So you’ll love the Battles. Mo is about to hit the big 50, and some uncomfortable truths are becoming quite apparent: She doesn’t understand either of her teenage kids, which as a child psychologist, is fairly embarrassing.

A TINY BIT MARVELLOUS is the story of a modern family all living in their own separate bubbles lurching towards meltdown. It is for anyone who has ever shared a home with that weird group of strangers we call relations. Oh and there’s a dog. Called Poo.

You can buy this for about 9 pounds stirling (hardback) or 12 pounds stirling for your kindle!

For anyone that doesn’t know the author…she is quite simply, as Barney would say, ‘Leg…wait for it…end….ary!’

She is also an actress and plays the Vicar in the Vicar of Dibley which is a very funny, UK TV Series..

Roses are cliche

5 Nov

Have you ever seen an orchid; how it floats in the water, so delicate and beautiful?

When a woman gets an orchid; it’s, well, she feels like she’s floating on a cloud of infinite possibility.

Always go with Orchids. Roses are cliche.

A view of Harvey Nichols in London

Image via Wikipedia

Well, big news!! Harvey Nichols is coming to a mall near YOU! Harvey Nichols have announced the opening of its first store in Kuwait, with the help of the Middle East franchise operator Alshaya…thank you, Mr. AlShaya.

The store, which will be situated in Kuwait’s largest shopping destination, will cover over 10,000-square metres of retail space and will stock Harvey Nichols’ most popular brands and designer names. The store will also house the signature Fifth Floor Restaurant concept, which was originally created for the Knightsbridge flagship but is now synonymous with the Harvey Nichols name.

“Our own research and experience points to a strong market for the brands offered by Harvey Nichols,” Mohammed Alshaya, executive chairman of MH Alshaya Co, said as the partnership was announced.

Harvey Nichols, too, is hopeful that the union will be highly prosperous. Joseph Wan, the company’s chief executive, is “confident that Harvey Nichols will experience lasting success with Alshaya”.

The store is set to open its doors in spring/summer 2011.

OK, Now I have a request! Please, Mr.AlShaya BRING PRIMARK!! Thank you 🙂
