It’s almost time for the yearly tree lighting event at the Mövenpick Hotel!! It’s located in the Free Trade Zone in Shuwaikh. This year’s sponsors are Baroue. The event will take place on the 10th December.
The giant Christmas tree is 12 metres high and will be beautifully decorated.
The day starts off at 2:30 PM with fun activities for the children; face painting, cartoon characters, Baroue mascots, trampoline and a lot more.
Mövenpick will be providing all the Christmas goodies for you to nibble on such as egg nog, minced pies and cookies.
Join Mövenpick in this magical moment as they light up thousands of tiny fairytale lights. This will be the biggest Christmas tree in Kuwait! The lights will be switched on at 4.30pm…

When will Evie Glam arrive in Kuwait?

23 Nov

So, Peacocks clothing store in the UK have finally released a makeup line.
The launch aims to strengthen Peacocks’ aim to be the number one stop shop on the high street for the latest trends in both fashion and beauty, building on its current commitment to offering customers the latest fashion looks at great value and its collaboration with Pearl Lowe – (recent designer line that was released)
‘Evie Glam’ will launch in 250 Peacocks’ stores and online this week and will be regularly updated to reflect seasonal beauty trends, and priced from £2.00 for a plumping lip gloss tube (that’s 1kd ladies!), £2.50 for a glitter nail varnish (1kd 250fils), and £4.00 for an eye palette gift set (that’s just 2kd!). Products in the range include light up lip glosses and every day make-up bag essentials as well as step by step guides to creating this season’s latest beauty looks. ‘Evie Glam’ offers the perfect beauty solution for chiconomisters in search of glamour on a budget.
It’s called Evie Glam…after the clothes. Evie is the label. I can’t wait. Personally, I love the range that Peacocks offer. The material washes well and they always have a huge variety. I actually quite like there store in Avenues but it’s tiny! The stores back in UK are three, four floors high… speaking of three four floors high, why, oh why do we not have a Primark here? Isn’t it time that someone brought it to the Middle East?

iPhone adds Keyboard

21 Nov

Another cool little invention for the iPhone…one of the main reasons I won’t get one is, being a girl with long nails makes using the touchscreen really difficult!

Well, here’s a solution!

Chicken Curry a la Babble

20 Nov

So, last night’s meal went down a storm with my hubby! Chicken Curry a la Babble

Here’s what you need: (2 people serving)

2 Chicken Fillets sliced up several times

1 Tin of chopped tomatoes

1 Green Pepper

1 Red Pepper

1 Jalapeno pepper

1/2 Green chili

Button mushrooms

1 onion chopped (not finely…you want them pretty big)

Fry that all up to seal in the flavour and seal the chicken, only for a few minutes…add the tin of chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper and a pinch of turmeric, chilli powder and curry powder.1 Basil leaf.

Add: 1 Tablespoon of butter, 200ml of double cream, 500ml of water.

Let that cook on high for five, ten minutes and then simmer for one hour.

Now, I bought Pajaks Curry pPste from the Sultan Centre. It’s the only one they had and it was fine, not too hot but not too mild. 2 Tablespoons of that.

Leave for about one hour. Make your rice (don’t forget to add a chicken maggi for flavour)

I served it with melba toast and salad. It was DELICIOUS!
