26 Nov

I’m not mad.
I’m in love.

Ok, so now you know a little more about Babble.
She has an obsession with UK’s Simon Cowell.

I heart Ellie Goulding!

Thanks to Fahad

24 Nov

So, everyone knows that Fahad went LIVE and it’s great news for all of us.

I want to personally THANK Fahad for the time that he takes to help all of us and answer those questions that we need answered.

Please remember, Fahad is doing this FREE.

He has a business to run and spends alot of his free time giving out tips/advice. We really appreciate it Fahad and thanks for shedding light on diet and exercise and making it not so ‘taboo’ to talk about.

We shouldn’t be ashamed if we have gained a few kilos (or more!!). We should be happy that we realise we need to change. We need to go ‘back to how we were before’.Without you, it might not have been possible. Thanks again.

Fahad has some great articles over on his site on how you can achieve your goal. Be nice to him and always remember to say THANK YOU!

Facebook Alternative has gone LIVE

24 Nov

A few months back FACEBOOK was ‘attacked’ because of ‘privacy issues’. . .

An open source alternative to Facebook – called Diaspora – has gone live.

The “privacy-aware” social network was founded earlier this year during a period when Facebook came under fire for its privacy settings.

The site is currently in BETA mode and they are not accepting open invitations as of now BUT, keep them in mind for the future! This could over-take facebook!

These are supposed to be educated people…

As a child, I didn’t watch much TV

24 Nov

First of all, I’m a mum. I let my kid watch TV. I don’t see the harm in it. Of course, I would never let him/herĀ  sit in front of the TV all day but, he/she does get 30minutes in the morning and 30minutes in the afternoon.

How do you feel about it?

I have researched alot on this subject and too much television has been linked to ADHD, OCD, Autism. So, what’s your view?

Does it? Is it detrimental to your child? Is it my responsibility to not let my kids watch TV?

I think 30minutes a day does no harm when they are young and when my kids are old enough to go to school, I will reward them with 30minutes TV a day IF and WHEN they finish their homework.

As a child, I didn’t sit and watch TV after school, I went out for walks, rode my bicycle and visited friends houses and played ‘teacher/pupil’ or ‘families’…On a Saturday, I was allowed to watch TV from 8 – 10am and that was it, I was sent outside to play. I’m glad that my parents did raise me that way, even now, I’m not a ‘TV’ person. I rarely sit down to watch anything. I have, of course, my favourites series which I would never miss, but I would never sit down at 5 in front of the TV and spend the night in front of it. That would drive me crazy. Instead, I go out with hubby shopping, go for walks, blog, read a book or listen to music.

Anyway, I’ve kind of gone off what I was talking about, what do you think?

Does TV do more damage than good?

Soooon!

I’m traveling soon! I can’t wait!! I’m counting down the days!

I need a break, it’s been so long since I smelt air other than kuwait…I need that fresh, clean, breathable air that other countries seem to have that we don’t!!

I can’t wait to walk, climb mountains, drink water from waterfalls and have moonlight strolls on the beach!!

Ahhh…………….

Is anyone else traveling soon? I know many of you traveled for Eid, I wasn’t that lucky. I’m heading away for the Winter for around 5 or 6 weeks, stopping by London, Ireland and then ending up in France! Can’t wait!!
