Oh, I’m DELIGHTED that Wayne Rooney will NOT be signing another contract with Man U.
He is just horrible.
Be warned, do not look at the picture below if you are eating. You may vomit.

What’s your blood type?

12 Oct

So, recently a friend told me about ‘The Blood Type Diet

I was a little unsure about it but it’s very, very interesting and could be worth some serious thought.

What if it was obvious what we should and should not eat. You can find your own diet plan for your blood type here

So, I’ve been doing some research and according to my blood type, which is A, I should be doing the following; Tai Chi and Yoga – interesting, calming exercises are a much better preference for me, running and intensive exercise is a huge no no.

So, here’s what the doctor has to say re; blood types and diet.

Type O-People with type O blood fare best on intense physical exercise and animal proteins and less well on dairy products and grains, says Dr. D’Adamo. The leading reason for weight gain among Type O’s is the gluten found in wheat products and, to a lesser extent, lentils, corn, kidney beans, and cabbage, Dr. D’Adamo explains. Ideal exercises for Type O’s include aerobics, martial arts, contact sports, and running.

Type A-Those with blood type A, however, are more naturally suited to a vegetarian diet and foods that are fresh, pure, and organic. As Type A’s are predisposed to heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, “I can’t emphasize how critical this dietary adjustment can be to the sensitive immune system of Type A,” says Dr. D’Adamo. Type A’s prefer calming, centering exercise, such as yoga and tai chi.

Type B-Type B’s have a strong immune system and a tolerant digestive system and tend to resist many of the severe chronic degenerative illnesses, or at least survive them better than the other blood types. Type B’s do best with moderate physical exercise requiring mental balance, such as hiking, cycling, tennis, and swimming.

Type AB-Blood type AB, the most recent, in terms of evolution, of the four groups and an amalgam of types A and B, is the most biologically complex. For this group, a combination of the exercises for types A and B works best, says Dr. D’Adamo.

So, all a bit strange? Yes, perhaps but it might actually work. We’ll see………only time will tell.

Here is an example of a typical Type A diet plan

Could be true…

30 Sep

I just read a comment on another blog.

‘Yes, if we could all stop trying to make our partner into the “ideal mate” and instead focus on what they bring to the relationship, we’d all be happier.’

This probably true and very much related to my ‘don’t wait forever’ post.

We probably dig ourselves into these holes. Trying to make our other half ‘perfect’, that ‘perfect father’, that ‘perfect husband’.

Japan clamps down on fat people

28 Sep

I’m not going to comment on this …ok, I am. WHAT THE FUCK?

Japan have now made it ‘illegal’ according to National Guidelines to have a waistline of more than 33”

see for yourself 🙂

I can totally understand why a government would try to make a healthier nation… but isn’t this taking things a little too far?

Thank you, Twitter

27 Sep

I got a glimpse into the new twitter tonight and I totally heart it.

It’s clean and sophisticated. Much better than before.

You will now find @mentions, retweets, searches, and lists just above your timeline – creating a single, streamlined view on the left of the screen. On the right, you can see the features you’re familiar with, including whom you recently followed and who recently followed you, favorites, and Trending Topics.

What’s even better is, now it’s easy to see embedded photos and videos directly on Twitter, thanks to partnerships with DailyBooth, DeviantART, Etsy, Flickr, Justin.TV, Kickstarter, Kiva, Photozou, Plixi, Twitgoo, TwitPic, TwitVid, USTREAM, Vimeo, yfrog, and YouTube. THANKS GUYS!

I wonder when they are going to do the official change over. Does the 14th seem likely?

I think people will welcome this change unlike the facebook change that occured how many months/years ago? God, I forget. I hated the change on fbook but I’m used to it now.

I’ll will definitely heart this  when it arrives. Thankyou Twitter for giving us this new, classy look.

For those that haven’t got a chance to see the New Twitter, you can see some screenshots here..

27 Sep

Sorry guys, completely mad weekend!

Kids sick and I had a fight with a blender.

All back to normal now though, well, almost. Typing with a bandaged thumb is proving quite difficult.
